I have been in the health care field for over 35 years and now, as an addiction medicine specialist, I would like to help and educate people with their addictions and their families to better manage the addiction disease.
Addiction has no boundaries that can affect anyone, regardless of where they live, where they grew up, or their race, gender or age. Addiction is a complex process that involves biological, social and psychological issues. Just like any chronic illness, there is no cure, just management of the disease.
There’s a stigma that makes people reluctant to talk about addiction. But the more we address it as a society, the more comfortable people will be with confronting the addiction problem.
Addiction disease also affected my family, and I would like to share my knowledge to help people and their families manage the addiction disease.
This website is to help people understand and find treatment options to help their loved ones or themselves to manage the addiction.
